THDA 247 - Stage and Event Management

This course will introduce students to the multi-faceted responsibilities of the stage manager in theatrical stage productions. Through a combination of classroom discussions, in-class group activities, at-home exercises and site visits, students will learn the responsibilities and tools of managing any collaborative creative team. By the end of this course, students will have developed core proficiencies in note-taking, information management, giving written & verbal feedback, collaboration, leadership, communication, conflict intervention and team organization. Alternate fall semesters. (4 Credits)
