HIST 247 - A Historical Journey from Greek theater to the Restoration

This course explores the four significant periods of theater history (Classical, Medieval, Renaissance, and Restoration) through learning about the historical context, the design and architectural elements, the plays that defined the time and the playwrights who wrote them. Students will engage with script analysis of the plays through staged readings. Alternate years. (4 Credits)
