French and Francophone Studies Minor

Minor Requirements

A minor in French consists of five or six courses:

• FREN 204  if student arrives at Macalester and places below 300-level
• FREN 306 
• Four additional French courses at the 300- and 400-level
  • Up to two courses from an approved study away program can count toward the minor

  • Students must take at least one upper-level FREN course at Macalester after they return from their study away semester
