A major in philosophy consists of at least nine departmental courses, which must include those listed below. The courses listed satisfy the requirements by default. Other classes may be used to satisfy these requirements with departmental approval.
Logical Reasoning (1 course)
Ethics (1 course)
History of Philosophy (2 courses)
Intermediate-level electives (3 courses): three courses in the department at the 300-level
Electives (1 course)
Senior Seminar (1 course): PHIL 489 - Senior Seminar
The Senior Capstone requirement is normally satisfied by a senior paper written for the Senior Seminar (PHIL 489 ), and presented at the senior Philosophy Day.
