ENVI 344 - Aquatic EcologyCross-Listed as BIOL 344 This course investigates the major factors that structure biological communities in freshwater systems, including both abiotic (physical/chemical) and biotic (organism interactions) components. We also explore the function of these ecosystems, including carbon cycling and the movement of energy and water through lakes and streams. Importantly, we consider the myriad human impacts on aquatic ecosystems. Prerequisite(s): BIOL 170 /ENVI 170 Offered alternate years. (4 Credits)
