SPAN 305 - Advanced Oral and Written Expression This course serves as a bridge between the intermediate and advanced courses in the Department of Spanish and Portuguese. Its main objective is to improve oral and written communication while strengthening grammatical skills and deepening knowledge of Hispanic cultures. Conversations and written essays are based on the cultural and literary themes presented in the textbook, a novel or other literary work, and supporting videos and films. Other course activities vary according to instructors and can include individual and/or group presentations; interviews with native speakers; attending community events related to some celebration of the Hispanic world; or different forms of community engagement. Prerequisite(s): SPAN 204 or SPAN 220 with a minimum grade of C-, or permission of instructor. Every semester. (4 Credits)
