PHIL 313 - Advanced Symbolic Logic

Cross-Listed as
A second course in symbolic logic which extends the methods of logic. Topics include second order logic and basic set theory; soundness, consistency and completeness of first order logic; incompleteness of arithmetic; Turing computability; modal logic; and intuitionistic logic. Prerequisite(s): PHIL 111 , MATH 136 , or permission of instructor. Alternate years. (4 Credits)
