COMP 440 - Collective Intelligence

This course will explore how computers can analyze people’s collective behavior to help them. Students will read and discuss recent academic research papers about collective behavior on sites such as Wikipedia, Facebook, and Twitter. Students will use coputational simulation and data-mining techniques to analyze online datasets. Prerequisite(s): COMP 124  and COMP 221 , or permission of instructor. Offered odd-numbered fall semesters. (4 Credits)
