ART 265 - Renaissance Art A study of painting, sculpting and architecture in Florence, Rome and Venice during the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries. Special emphasis on the formation of the Early and High Renaissance style and the role of representative artists of the period, such as Donatello, Masaccio, Burnelleschi, Botticelli, as well as Leonardo, Michelangelo, Raphael, Giorgione, and Titian, as well as the Mannerist artists Anguissola, Fontana, Pontormo, Rosso, and Parmigianino. Prerequisite(s): ART 160 /CLAS 160 , ART 161 , or permission of instructor. Alternate years. (4 Credits)
