RELI 111 - Introduction to Buddhism Organized on the basis of the Buddhist triple gem (Buddha, Dharma, Sangha), this course examines each in turn, offering an introduction to the personalities, teachings, and institutions of Buddhism. Beginning in India at the time of the Buddha, this course moves throughout most of the Buddhist world, asking students to think both historically and comparatively, learning both about Buddhism “in general,” and about the diversity among “Buddhisms.” (4 Credits)
