ANTH 123 - Introduction to Archaeology

This course introduces students to archaeology, the study of the material remains of human culture. Students will explore the history of the discipline and profession, its basic methods and theories, and the political and ethical dimensions of modern archaeological practice. Students learn to examine and interpret evidence using specific examples, from artifacts to sites to regions. Prerequisite(s): None. Introductory Course Open to first year students. Every year.
